FGSR – Fundación Germán Sánchez Ruipérez
FGSR is a non-for-profit devoted from 1981 to the reading promotion, libraries, training of professionals and research on reading behaviour and innovation within the publishing industry.
Since 1985 FGSR opened several centres and Casa del Lector (Madrid, 2012) is the most important and houses the organization’s, headquarters where several projects are tested in collaboration with many institutions.
FGSR is a leader in innovative ideas for training, testing and improving the life of communities in Spanish speaking countries. Many cohorts of librarians, teachers, publishers or booksellers have been beneficiaries of its projects and learned from its many publications, webs, seminars or workshops.
FGSR has been working in European projects as a member of the partnerships or leader both in cultural and regional funding frameworks as well as in international initiatives. The present strategic plan aims to build and transfer knowledge on the transformation reading and publishing ecosystem triggered by the digital tools and processes.
