Nina Klein

Nina Klein studied history and German literature (M.A.) and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA - with a focus on startups and business models in publishing). She is a trained journalist (Axel Springer/ DIE WELT) and worked as a print and radio journalist in Germany for over ten years before moving to Poland in 2002. There Nina was director of a training programme for young radio journalists and then director of the German Book Information Centre (2004-2007) in Warsaw. She joined the Frankfurt Book Fair team in 2008 as Director of Press and Public Relations. Since 2012 Nina has been a communications & business development consultant in Brussels and Frankfurt, with a focus on the creative sectors and innovation. She has worked as an evaluator for Horizon2020, and participated in various European projects, such as "Technology and Innovation for smart publishing" (TISP) and EMMA innovation platform (https://emma.in-two.com/). Nina also promoted the European Union Prize for Literature (2014-15), organizing events and a PR campaign in Frankfurt. As associate partner of the Frankfurt Book Fair and THE ARTS+, Nina is responsible for business development and innovation strategies with a focus on the EU. Nina is the brains (and the hands) behind THE ARTS+ Innovation Summit, the aim of which is to develop an innovation support network for the cultural and creative industries in Europe.
