Conseil des Arts du Canada/ Canada Council for the Arts

The Canada Council for the Arts, founded by Parliament in 1957, is the agency which promotes and finances the art and works of Canadian artists and organisations. Its main activities are: awards to artists and artistic organisations, allocation of study grants to art school students, research, communication and promotion to foster appreciation of Canadian art.
