Teodora Ghiviriga

Teodora Ghivirigă, PhD, is a graduate of the Faculty of Letters Alexandru Ioan Cuza of Iași, with a major in English and a minor in Romanian. She went on to do her PhD in Linguistics (Terminology). She has an interest in specialized languages and terminology in several domains and the translation of specialized discourse (economics, and business, law, music) and has contributed various studies in this area, mostly using quantitative methods and Corpus Linguistics. She is also interested in English (mainly British) children’s literature and fantasy, especially in the works of the authors of the Inklings group. Her teaching interests also include teaching English to adults (specialized domains) and testing. She has also acted as translator for various papers and several volumes in Linguistics, economics, music, theology. She has published translations in the area of Linguistics (E. Sapir, Despre limba.
