Born 1964. Based in Kolkata, India. Mainly a playwright, writing mainly in Bengali and English, with more than twenty original and translated works. Equally proficient in translation from Bengali to English and vice versa.
Also, a performance scholar. Have taught at globally renowned institutions like Tufts University (Boston), University of California (Berkeley), Jawaharlal Nehru University (Delhi), Frei Universität (Berlin, as Fellow), Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta, and others.
