Dr. Rishikesh Upadhyay is a writer and an academic. Born to Indian Nepali parents, Pitambar Upadhaya (father) and Nandakala (Bawni) Upadhaya (mother) in Bhanjang Basti, Haflong, a small Nepalis’ hamlet in Haflong, the district headquarter of North Cachar Hills (now Dima Hasao), in the Indian states of Assam. He earned MSc, MPhil and a PhD from Assam University, BSc Hons from Haflong Government College, India.
Dr. Upadhyay's work has been named, among other recognitions, and he has been a winner for several awards, such as the Literary Titan Award, PenCraft Literary Excellence Award, Albert Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, National Educationist Award, Indie Book Award, Peer Reviewer Award, UGC Research Fellowship Award, Elsevier Science Reviewer Recognition Award, etc., and has spent the past decade working and teaching in higher educational institutions. His works was celebrated across the world, and have been appeared, quoted, cited in several international literary and academic journals, and books of repute.
He currently works in the faculty of science at Assam University affiliated Haflong Government College, India.
