Information notice pursuant to Section 13 of the Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 – Personal Data Protection Code (Article 10 of the European Union directive 95/46/EC).
Personal data (including email address) provided by the User (you) will be processed by the data controller Associazione Italiana Editori (Italian Publishers Association), with its registered office at Corso di Porta Romana n. 108, 20122 Milan, Italy (hereafter referred to as “AIE”), using paper, electronic and automated means, in compliance with the provisions of the Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 – Personal Data Protection Code (hereafter referred to as “Privacy Code”) and of the European Union directive 95/46/EC, for the following purposes:
i) Allow the registration of the User to the site aldusnet.eu (hereafter referred to as the “Site”), the conclusion and performance of the relevant registration contract, as regulated in the Registration – General conditions of contract, and therefore the enjoyment by the User of the services reserved to the Site registered users, that is to say in particular the authenticated access of the User to the reserved area of the Site and to full text in-depth articles. Express consent by the User for the processing of personal data for such purpose is not requested pursuant to the provisions of Section 24, par. 1, letter b) of the Privacy Code. The User is entitled to cancel his/her Site account any time, by sending AIE an e-mail to the following address email@example.com from his/her own e-mail used for registration. Within 5 working days from the receipt of this e-mail by the User, AIE will take steps to disable the access to the Services and to cancel the personal data provided by the User in relation to the registration to the Site;
ii) Subject to express request by the User, a newsletter service, consisting in communications sent to the User via email containing advertising material, market research as well as commercial and informative communications on the activities of AIE and its partners. The registered User wishing to withdraw his/her consent to the mailing of the newsletter at a later date, can do it at any moment through the specially provided option available in the page “Edit my profile” in the reserved area or through the relevant link at the bottom of each newsletter;
iii) Subject to express request by the User, the creation and publication on the Site by the User him/herself of his/her own profile, visible to all Site registered users. The data concerning the User’s profile, created and published on the Site by the User him/herself, will be communicated (since they are made visible) to all Site registered Users. The User can at any moment cancel his/her own profile, if any, published on the Site through the specially provided option available in the page “Edit my profile” in the reserved area of the Site.
Only to these ends can the User’s data be communicated to subjects bound by a contract to AIE (such as Internet and telecommunication operators and providers, information and computer service companies, advertising agencies, market research companies); in this case they shall be processed by them only for the above mentioned purposes. The data will be brought to data processors and persons in charge of the processing knowledge designated by AIE and by the above-mentioned subjects.
Regarding the aforementioned purposes, except as specially indicated above, data provided will not be communicated or assigned to third subjects by AIE and will not be disseminated.

Providing your data for the purposes of point (i) is voluntary, i.e. it’s not required by the law, but it is necessary in order to be able to complete the registration procedure, conclude and perform the relative contract and make use of the services reserved to the Site registered users. Should the data marked as “compulsory” not be provided in the registration form, it will not be possible to complete the registration procedure, conclude and perform the relative contract and make use of the various services reserved to the Site registered users.
Providing your data for the purposes of point (ii) is completely voluntary, i.e. it’s not required by the law: in default of providing the data for these purposes the only consequence will be the impossibility to receive the newsletter via email by AIE containing advertising material, market research as well as commercial and informative communications on the activities of AIE and its partners.
Providing your data for the purposes of point (iii) is completely voluntary, i.e. it’s not required by the law: in default of providing the data for these purposes the only consequence will be the impossibility to create and publish on the Site the User profile, visible to all Site registered users.
In his/her capacity as data subject, the User enjoys the rights expressed in Section 7 of the Privacy Code reproduced below. Section 7 – (Right to Access Personal Data and Other Rights)
1. A data subject shall have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him exist, regardless of their being already recorded, and communication of such data in intelligible form.
2. A data subject shall have the right to be informed
a) of the source of the personal data;
b) of the purposes and methods of the processing;
c) of the logic applied to the processing, if the latter is carried out with the help of electronic
d) of the identification data concerning data controller, data processors and the representative designated as per Section 5(2); and
e) of the entities or categories of entity to whom or which the personal data may be communicated and who or which may get to know said data in their capacity as designated representative(s) in the State’s territory, data processor(s) or person(s) in charge of the processing.
3. A data subject shall have the following rights:
a) to obtain updating, rectification or, where interested therein, integration of the data;
b) to obtain erasure, anonymization or blocking of data that have been processed unlawfully, including data whose retention is unnecessary for the purposes for which they have been collected or subsequently processed;
c) to obtain certification to the effect that the operations as per letters a) and b) have been notified, as also related to their contents, to the entities to whom or which the data were communicated or disseminated, unless this requirement proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort compared with the right that is to be protected.
4. A data subject shall have the right to object, in whole or in part,
a) on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data concerning him/her, even though they are relevant to the purpose of the collection;
b) to the processing of personal data concerning him/her, where it is carried out for the purpose of sending advertising materials or direct selling or else for the performance of market or commercial communication surveys.
