Sevket Kolcak

I was bom in 1991 in lstanbul. I anı a poet and cultural editor. I prefer to use the name Cenk
Kolçak and I anı known as Cenk in Turkish literature. My poetry and essays have appeared in
various literary and cultural journals, and I continue to contribute interviews and cultural
articles to newspapers and magazines.
My fırst poetry collection, Akbabalar Çağında (in the Age of_Vultures, Öteki Yayınevi, 2018),
received the 2019 Ruhi Türkyılmaz Sanatevi Poetry Award. My second book, Su ve Parya
(Water and the Pariah, Manos Kitap, 2021 ), won the Rıfat Ilgaz Poetry Award. My third poetry
book, Çiçeksiz Denizler İçin Alınlık (A Frontispiece for Flowerless Seas), was published in
December 2025. My poems have been translated into several languages.
I have also worked as an editor and presenter of cultural programs on television, including
Edebiyattan Sayfalar. I was among the f o un ders of the Jurnal Türkiye news platform and I serve
on the editorial board of the Yirmibirmart Literature, Culture, and Art Platform. in 2024, I
contributed the motto of the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
I also serve as the Founder and Editor-in-Chief ofa publishing house called Duino Kitap, and ı
translated and published R.M. Rilke's masterpiece, Duino Elegies, into Turkish.
I anı a member of PEN Turkey, and I also serve as a substitute member of the Board of
Directors of PEN Turkey. I anı also a member ofthe Versopolis Platform, a European poetry
platform that is offıcially supported by the European Union.
I have been invited to festivals such as the Mosaic of lmages International Poetry Festival
(2019, Gaziantep), the 6th Offline lstanbul International Poetry
