I was born in Hartlepool in 1976 and studied at Oxford University and UCL. I work as a translator and copy editor for the German Historical Institute London, and I am also a freelance translator DE-EN. I have a PhD in German Studies and a Diploma in Translation. My translations include 'a Simple Intervention' by Yael Inokai (Peirene Press), poetry by Rainer Maria Rilke (OUP) and Kornelia Koepsell ( Könighausen & Neumann), children's fiction (Coppenrath), and non-fiction books on art, architecture and choreography.
